Welcome to the Homepage for the Iron River Watershed!

Located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, the Iron River is one of Iron County's finest trout streams and is host to a thriving native brook trout population.

Since 1999, the Iron River Watershed Project has been actively working to promote, protect, and improve the water and lands that make up the Iron River Watershed. Feel free to browse this site to learn more about the watershed, its history, the problems it faces, and the many strategies that have been implemented to protect this precious resource.
